Roman's Story
Meet Roman - a survivor ready for his forever home. Roman's story could have ended very differently. He was found in Southwest City with multiple wounds to his neck and hip that initially appeared consistent with possible gunshot injuries. We may never know exactly what happened to him, but what we do know is that Roman is incredibly resilient - and incredibly loved. Thanks to a kind-hearted stranger who refused to look the other way, Roman was taken in, connected with our rescue, and rushed to the vet. With proper care, patience, and compassion, Roman has made a full recovery and is now thriving. We are endlessly grateful to his foster who stepped up in his time of need and helped guide him from pain and fear to safety and trust. Roman would not be where he is today without you - thank you for giving him a second chance at life. In his foster home, Roman has shown just how special he is: Great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, has recall, fully vetted and microchipped. We estimate Roman to be around 1 year old, and despite what he's been through, he holds no grudges against the world. He's an amazing dog with so much love to give - and he's now ready for the one thing he's never truly had: a forever home.
