Rolly-Spartanburg, SC's Story

Meet Rolly. Rolly is a handsome, approximately 4-year-old male Dalmatian weighing 70 pounds who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and loves riding in the car. Rolly is an affectionate, playful boy who loves cuddling with his people, squeaky toys, tough chew toys, tug-of-war, bully sticks, pig ears, and just about any treat! He enjoys being indoors with his family and is happy to share the couch or bed. Rolly gets along with large dogs and other animals, although his compatibility with cats and smaller dogs is unknown.

Rolly is looking for a forever home because his current family is unable to provide the consistent care he needs. He would do best with a family that can give him plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Although he is very good with children, his size and playful energy can sometimes accidentally knock over little ones, so a home with older children, ideally ages 5–6 and up, would be best. Rolly can pull on the leash, is sometimes vocal, and loves to chew, so durable toys and continued positive-reinforcement training are recommended. He eats Costco Adult Chicken & Rice dog food, typically 1 cup in the morning and 2 cups in the evening. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who will happily cuddle with you and keep you smiling, Rolly may be the perfect addition to your family.

Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step in our adoption process is for the prospective adopter to complete our Adoption Application Questionnaire which helps us best match you with the the dog that would be most suited to your home environment and expectations. Email us at info@savethedals.org with the name of the dog that interests you and we will send you our Adoption Application Questionnaire. If based on the Application Questionnaire we think one of our dogs is a good match to your home environment and expectations, we will follow up with a phone call, advise you of the adoption fee, schedule a home visit if applicable, and arrange a meet and greet with the dog. Adopters are also required to sign our Adoption Contract; you will be provided a copy of the contract for you to review and ask questions before you adopt the dog. Note that we often have multiple applicants wanting to adopt the same dog. Our selection process is not based on whose application we receive first. It is based on who we believe will be the best match for the dog, allowing for the greatest success of a high quality, loving forever home, with the least likelihood of the dog needing to be returned to rescue. We commit to the life of each dog we rescue, such that at any point in the life of the dog if its adopter is no longer able to keep the dog, the adopter signs our adoption contract agreeing that they will return the dog to Save The Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue. The dog is not to be turned into an animal shelter.
