Roko<br/> <br/>This chunky hunk is Roko! He is 60 lbs of lapdog and kisses. <br/><br/>In November, Roko's owner abandoned him and left the state, leaving him behind without a second thought. Luckily for Roko, he ended up with the best volunteers getting so much love and TLC. He had rough itchy skin with patches of hair missing from being kept outside on hard surfaces. With some extra care, his coat is shiny, smooth and healed!<br/><br/>Roko is a fun, sweet guy and loves to play. Soccer balls are his favorite... although they don't last very long with him! He is a lower energy dog and gets tired pretty quick. (yes, he has lost a few pounds already being with us!)<br/><br/>-Roko is good with most other dogs but can be reactive on leash.<br/><br/>-NO CATS!<br/><br/>- Housebroken and not destructive. His foster mom says he is the easiest dog and a couch potato.<br/><br/>Roko is about 7 years old, vaccinated and neutered. Pooches in Pines, INC's Adoption Policy
We strive to match our dogs with families or individuals who are familiar with the breed. Most dogs have a high curiosity and activity level and require lots of attention, training, and exercise! We have the potential families complete an adoption application where we review it after it's received. If we feel the dog is a good match for the adopter, we will schedule a meet and greet with the family and other pet (if necessary). The next step is a home check and another meet and greet at their home with our volunteers to get our dog acquainted and settled in for a "foster to adopt".
