Rogue's Story

Meet Rouge

Rouge is a beautiful 7-month-old Shepherd/Malinois mix looking for a special home that understands her breed and can give her the structure, guidance, and consistency she needs to thrive.

This smart girl is very quick to learn and highly food motivated. She’s been around other dogs and cats, is kennel trained and potty trained, and is always ready to learn something new. Rouge does best when she has structure and something to keep her busy. Without enough mental stimulation, she can get bored, so a home where she can have a job, task, or purpose would be ideal for her.

When meeting new people, Rouge can be shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her personality really shines. Before coming into rescue, she had a rough start in life and has already worked through many of those setbacks. We’re so proud of the progress she has made.

Rouge will need someone with breed experience who understands that this girl is smart, determined, and will test boundaries. Give her an inch, and she may try to take a mile! With the right person, structure, patience, and continued training, we believe Rouge has the potential to become an incredible companion.

We will be very selective about Rouge’s forever home because she deserves a family who will set her up for success, continue helping her grow, and never let her down.

If you think you could be the right forever home for Rouge, we’d love to hear from you!
