Rodeo's Story

Meet Rodeo, the sweetest little gentleman with a heart of gold! He is loyal, friendly, quick to warm up to people, and very cute - just wait till you see him stick his little tongue out when he sleeps! He is 10 years old & loves nothing more than lounging in bed & snoozing the day away or cuddling up next to you on the couch for a quiet evening - but don’t let his age or sleepy personality fool you, Rodeo still loves to play! Although, he is not one to get the zoomies, he will happily let you play tug or fetch with him, or is perfectly content entertaining himself by chewing on his toys or throwing them up in the air to catch. He’s overall a pretty independent little guy but is so happy to get attention!

Rodeo is a smart, well mannered boy who is fully potty trained (in his foster home) & knows all basic commands. He is food motivated so it is best to keep treats & kibble out of his reach, but this also makes him eager to please & learn new tricks! He does tend to beg a bit but listens really well to “no” or “bed” & will lay down & leave you to eat in peace. He is always happy & polite when going for walks & is leash trained. Rodeo likes to say a quick hello to new doggy friends when on walks but seems to know when enough sniffing is enough. He will go on long walks or play & run around at a dog park but is always eager to get home to relax. Rodeo had quite a few teeth pulled so his smile is a little silly, but this hasn’t stopped him from eating any treat you’ll give him. He also has a heart murmur that may need to be monitored but otherwise, is in great shape!

Rodeo is adaptable & falls into a routine very quickly & easily, he is simply just happy to be there with you! He is accustomed to laying on beds & couches (good thing he doesn’t take up too much room!) but is happy to sleep in his dog bed if that is what you would prefer. He rarely barks - only when someone is at the door - but he will make a playful growling sound when he wants more attention or to play. He is great with people & other dogs, well behaved & does well in the car - making him the perfect companion to take along with you anywhere! However, he is also comfortable being home alone for several hours. He is even happy to wear sweaters, bandanas or coats, making him even more adorable!

If you are looking for a sweet, happy & chill little guy, Rodeo is the one for you!
