Rocky's Story
Rocky is a big beautiful bundle of potential. He is an expert at fetch and an adventure buddy in training. As a shepherd, he does have a lot of energy and higher exercise needs, so a higher energy family would be a great fit for him. He could be a great hiker or maybe even enjoy a dog sport.

Rocky loves toys, adores affection, and is super smart—he's eager to learn and grow with the right guidance. He used to be pretty shy with new people, but over time he has become quite excited to make new friends and is a big hugger! He would benefit from more training on impulse control, as he is a lot stronger than he realizes! For this reason he would do better with older children/teenagers- he would almost definitely knock a small child over in his excitement.

He has lived a lot of his life at the rescue, so he might still be unsure in new situations. He just needs a patient and loving family to help him build confidence and show him that the world is full of fun and love. He has met some other dogs briefly, and has had a lot of fun playing with another young, playful dog like him. He has the potential to make good friends with other dogs. He just needs a proper slow introduction and the ability to take breaks if he needs while he's adjusting.

With a little time and training, Rocky will blossom into a loyal, devoted companion ready to bring endless joy to your life. If you're looking for a sweet pup who’s ready to play, learn, and love, Rocky could be your perfect match!

The adoption fee includes
- Vaccinations: This includes:
Rabies
Leptospirosis
Distemper
Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus
Parvovirus
Parainfluenza
Lyme
- Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma
- Deworming
- Spay/Neuter
- Microchipping
- Any other treatments or surgeries needed while in our care
