Rocky is a 5-pound Chihuahua who came to Shining Light Animal Rescue as a stray after a friend picked him up late at night in the cold near a tennis court. He was small, alone, and vulnerable — but still full of trust and love.<br/><br/>Rocky is about 5 years old and has big-dog energy in a tiny package. He is not a typical snappy Chihuahua. He has an excellent demeanor and is confident, affectionate, and extremely lovable.<br/><br/>He does well with other dogs, cats, and children. Because of his small size, we recommend a home with children who understand how to handle a small dog gently and respectfully.<br/><br/>Rocky has a mild heart murmur and is not yet scheduled to be neutered while we continue to monitor his health. For this reason, he would benefit from a foster-to-adopt home where he can settle in and be loved while his medical needs are finalized.
