Rocky's Story

You may remember Rocky- he was adopted out and is back in the rescue!

We brought Rocky in from a hoarding case where he was kept in a tiny house with dozens of dogs, cats, and chickens. He was adopted out, however poor Rocky is a young guy with lots of energy and was not coping well when his owner left him at home all day locked up when he was at work. So we brought him back and are trying to find a better fit for him! Third time is a charm for his perfect home!

Rocky is incredibly sweet and loving. He is almost two years old and is a Mountain Cur mix. He loves to go on adventures. He is a favorite at the boarding facility he is at. He would do great in a house that has a yard with someone who either is willing to drop him at daycare all day while they are at work (until he gets older and has less energy), someone who works from home, or someone who is not going to be gone for extended periods during the day.

Please make sure you research the breed you are adopting, as each dog is different and has different requirements because of energy and temperament. Rocky is laid back for his breed, however they are known for needing consistent training and exercise.

Rocky is located in Brevard County, FL. His adoption application is at www.mysaltydog.com!
