Rocky Irish Setter Mix Southlake, TX

Rocky is a spirited, fun-loving Irish Setter mix around 2 1/2 years old. He is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines including flu. He is enthusiastic about life, often displayed in the funny way he bounces around. Rocky was rescued from a large local animal shelter where he endured a “rocky” start with an outbreak of kennel cough. Rocky is good-natured and loves to dig through his bucket of toys, looking for just the right one. Rocky gets along well with his housemates but can play a little rough or be pesky for less tolerant friends.

Rocky has worked with a trainer while in foster care. He knows his obedience commands, but Rocky’s biggest challenge is impulse control and his most common struggle is jumping. We are looking for a patient adopter who has experienced success and is open to continued training with Rocky. He will be most successful in a quieter home with someone that can handle a pup with an abundance of energy.
