Rocky's Story

Rocky

Rocky has been here almost an entire year… and that is just so hard on a dog. A shelter is loud, stressful, and overwhelming, and while Rocky handles it the best he can, this simply is not where he belongs.

The truth is — he is a great dog. He keeps his kennel spotless, lets you know when he needs to go outside, and patiently waits his turn like the good boy he is. He is very smart, listens well, and truly enjoys being with his people.
Now yes — Rocky is STRONG. He’s a big handsome guy with a lot of muscle behind him, so he will need someone confident handling a strong dog. He also does jump up when he gets excited, so we are asking for no small children at this time.

Rocky would likely do best in an all-women home. He needs slow, proper introductions with men, and we want to be honest about that so we can set him up for success instead of failure. He also does not do well with other pets, so Rocky is looking to be your one and only spoiled boy.

Underneath it all, he really is sweet. He deserves patience, understanding, structure, and someone willing to give him a real chance. We truly believe with consistency and proper training, Rocky could absolutely thrive in the right home.
And can we talk about how gorgeous he is?! This boy seriously does not take a bad picture.

Please help us get Rocky out of the shelter and into a loving home where he can finally relax and just be someone’s best friend.

If interested in Rocky, please fill out an application at:
healthyheartsproject.org/adopt

Location:
Warren OH
