Rocky's Story

Rocky we were told is a "Deer Chihuahua", but we are not sure if that is an actual breed or did they mean "dear Chihuahua", which he does seem to be. He has sadly been surrendered by his owner who has terminal cancer. Three months shy of 2 years old, he has been with them since he was 13 weeks old. He loves kids (8 and older), is pee-pad trained and never really left the house. He will need to work on learning what a leash is and how to behave (not panic) while being walked. Until he feels comfortable he will be a flight risk. He doesn't like to share his person with other dogs and would do well being the only prince in the house. He has never been around cats. He LOVES LOVES to cuddle and wants nothing more than to be held as close as he can get.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
