Rocket's Story

Meet Rocket!
Rocket is a 21⁄2-year-old boy who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and previously lived in a home with four cats. He came from a less-than-ideal living situation, but since arriving at the shelter he has absolutely thrived with both humans and canine friends. Rocket is an affectionate soul who wants nothing more than cuddles. He is a huge fan of back and butt scratches and has quickly become a volunteer favorite—he truly has a way of melting hearts. He bonds fast and will happily follow right alongside his person. He was very frightened of the leash at first and is still learning to walk comfortably on one. Because he’s most confident with space to roam, Rocket would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard, similar to what he had before. He also loves stuffed toys and enjoys carrying them around.

Rocket has an upcoming surgery scheduled for eye removal along with his neuter. The cause of the injury to his eye is unknown, but he remains happy, loving, and resilient.

Adoption fee: $85
