Meet Rocco <br/>Approx. 4.5 years old (April birthday! )<br/><br/>Rocco is the kind of dog who doesn’t just live with you — he lives for you. He’s a loyal sidekick through and through and wants to be part of whatever you’re doing, whether that’s a walk, a car ride, or relaxing on the patio.<br/><br/>What we love about Rocco:<br/> • Knows (and is still polishing!) commands like sit, off, up, down, come/front, and gentle<br/> • Walks great in a harness and has learned to stay close with gentle guidance<br/> • Ultimate cuddler — snuggles are his love language<br/> • Loves carrying his stuffies around the house (hard chews are his favorite comfort item)<br/> • Bones and nylon chews are his go-to “pacifier” when it’s time to relax or fall asleep<br/><br/>Rocco didn’t have an easy start. He needed 4–6 months to fully decompress from shelter life, and watching him blossom has been incredible. From cautiously smelling the grass to rolling around in it… from uncertainty to confidence… from stress behaviors to calm companionship — he’s come so far. <br/><br/>He does still have a few self-soothing habits when overstimulated or settling in, and he does best when given a quiet space to reset.
