Robin's Story

Meet Robin!

Robin is a 4-year-old, 100-pound sweetheart who is proof that sometimes the best things come in BIG packages.

If you want to skip the puppy chaos and bring home a loving, mature family dog, Robin may be your girl! Robin is a total couch potato who would happily spend her days lounging on a soft bed or thick blanket, preferably with her humans nearby. She's a true shadow and loves following her people around the house. More than anything, Robin wants to be close to her family and soak up all the pets and affection she can get. She is potty trained, well-mannered and wonderfully calm. Robin doesn't jump up, steal food or bark unnecessarily. She is generally very quiet, with the occasional little whine to get your attention or a bark when she needs to go outside. She is not fearful or anxious and isn't bothered by storms or fireworks. Robin absolutely adores kids of all ages, including little ones, and would love a home with children. She also does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends, although she would prefer her doggy siblings to have lower energy levels so they can all enjoy plenty of relaxing and lounging together. She is also cat-friendly with dog-friendly cats.

Despite her love of naps, Robin does enjoy getting out and about! She goes for walks, loves car rides and is an excellent office dog. She currently goes to work with her foster mom at a veterinary clinic and has attended two different workplaces, where she has quickly become everyone's favourite coworker. Robin does have a few quirks. She can pull when she spots something exciting like a squirrel, and she has been known to have a questionable relationship with dirty laundry including the occasional dirty sock or three. She also thinks cucumbers and ice cubes are fantastic, but carrots? Absolutely not. And please don't expect her to be thrilled about breakfast before she's ready to get out of bed! Robin has already lost over 10 pounds in foster care, but even at a healthy weight, she is still a BIG girl with an even bigger heart.

Robin's favourite things:

Napping near her family

Other dogs

Children of all ages

Squeaky toys

Cucumbers

Ice cubes

Anything soft and cozy

Lots and lots of affection

Robin's not-so-favourite things:

Carrots

Breakfast too early

Squirrels and chickens (she really wants to chase them!)

Robin is sweet, gentle, affectionate and wonderfully easygoing. She doesn't need a home filled with constant adventure... she's looking for a family preferably with kids, who will appreciate the joy of having a big, loving shadow by their side. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate family dog who is past the puppy stage and ready to be your best friend, Robin would love to meet you.

Location: Fort Erie, ON

Weight: 101lbs

Age:4YRS
Please visit our website www.fullcirclerescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see our other available dogs.
