Robbie's Story

Meet Robbie — your future one-and-only 💙

Robbie’s story didn’t start easy. He was found wandering the streets of Mount Hope in heartbreaking condition—severely emaciated, covered in parasites, and barely recognizable as the happy dog he was meant to be. But with care, good food, and a lot of love, Robbie has made an incredible comeback.

Today, this handsome pittie is thriving. He’s filled out into a solid, lovable boy (over 50 pounds of pure sweetness!) and his personality has truly blossomed. Around 3 years old, Robbie still has plenty of life and love to give—but what he wants most is a home where he can be the center of attention.

Robbie would do best as your one and only pet. After everything he’s been through, he deserves to soak up all the love, comfort, and security a forever home can offer. He’s loyal, affectionate, and ready to be your shadow, your best friend, and your biggest fan.

Robbie’s adoption fee is $175, which includes all vetting and his neuter.

If you’re ready to give this resilient boy the life he’s always deserved, apply online at fayettecountyanimalshelterwv.com or come meet him at the shelter

Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
