RESCUE STORY - I was born on the streets of Mexico and was found severely malnourished, along with my two sisters (Mimosa and Carla) when we were only one month old. Living on the streets was so scary and we were so happy to have been rescued! You can learn more about my heartbreaking rescue by watching this video. I required extensive vet care after I was rescued. As you can see, I'm quite the little fighter to have survived all I went through!
TEMPERAMENT - I am a young dog with lots of energy and I love to play! I love to get affection from my humans and to play with my siblings. I am looking for a patient, loving family who is ready for "all things puppy" - hoomans who are open to working with timidity, potential play nipping, high energy, housetraining and leash skills. I promise to repay you with loads of cuddles, kisses and tail wags!
ENERGY LEVEL - I am a puppy so I am currently high energy! Bring on the walkies and adventures!
GETS ALONG WITH: other puppies and adult humans
Kids Unknown. I am a puppy, so I sometimes nip and play bite. As such, a home without young kids would be best for me.
Dogs I get along well with the other puppies at my foster. Check out my videos to see!
PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
Leash skills Work in progress. I am still very young and I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success! Here I am going for a walk!
House training Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)
Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.
When I was first rescued, I was severely malnourished and had parasites. My tail had been cut off on the streets. I had wounds and incredibly swollen glands. My chance of survival was low, however my foster family made sure I got all the care I needed. Although my progress was slow, I got stronger and stronger every day and somehow, I survived! I am a healthy boy now, don't worry.
I am too young to be neutered still, but I have received all of my puppy vaccinations! I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North.
NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
