Rj's Story
RJ has one very important talent: sleeping completely upside-down, all three paws in the air, without a single worry in the world.

Born around August 2023, RJ is a tripod through and through, and it has never slowed him down. He runs fast (seriously, fast), loves squeaky toys and a good chew bone, and is just about the most laid-back guy in our program. He adores every person he meets and settles in best when the house is calm rather than full of commotion. When he wants to relax, he'll tuck himself under a chair or table. It's his favorite way to feel safe and cozy.

RJ will be happiest, and honestly easiest to love, as the only pet in the house. Give him a quiet space to call his own, and he'll settle in and give you his whole heart.

RJ lost his right hind leg after being hit by an 18-wheeler, but you would never guess it watching him move. He can handle a couple of steps but isn't up for a full staircase, so a home without a lot of stairs is ideal. He does great in an exercise pen and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. He still wears a belly band indoors for occasional urinary leaks, most common when he gets excited, though his bowel control is spot on. RJ has been vetted, microchipped, and is up to date on all his vaccines.

A checklist like this can look like a lot on paper, but in person, RJ is just an easy, normal dog. He wants naps, toys, people to love, and a home of his own. His needs are simple and manageable, and the reward of his love is enormous.
We can't say enough about RJ's heart. He's ready to be somebody's whole world. Could that be you?

To schedule a meet and greet, please fill out an adoption application, which can be easily found at www.jackjackspack.org/adopt

Once your application has been approved, a member of our team will contact you to schedule a phone interview and a meet-and-greet. This process can take up to 10 days as we are volunteer run.

Please keep in mind that we select the best-qualified applicants based on the needs of both the dog and the applicant.
