Rizzo's Story

Looking for a playful snuggle-muffin who wants to love and be loved? Rizzo is your girl! This freckled cutie wants nothing more than to be around people and in on the action. She keeps herself entertained with her toy box, occasionally coming to you for a belly rub. She LOVES to have her belly scratched. And she'll run up to any stranger, sniff them, then lay on her back to show everyone how cute she is.

Rizzo is also very friendly around other dogs. She'll roll on her back to play with all dogs and loves to play chase. She has a ton of energy and will run circles around her doggo friends all day! Her ideal family will have a big yard for her to zoom around in and sniff all the sniffs. A home with an older, confident dog would help her settle right in and learn the new family routine quickly and easily.

Rizzo is crate-trained, potty-trained, and is working on her leash manners. She loves walks (and chasing squirrels) but is getting the hang of wearing a harness and learning "Leave it." When it's time to go to bed, she sleeps in her crate through the night, typically from around 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. She especially loves having a blanket over her crate to block the light out when she sleeps — it's her cozy den.

Because of her prey drive (see above: squirrels!), Rizzo needs a home without cats. She has done well with toddlers and young children, though she can still get a case of the puppy nibbles when she's super-excited. She is eager to learn and to please her people and is working very hard to be the absolute best girl!

If your home needs a burst of sunshine, rainbows, and the most adorable freckles in town, Rizzo is your girl! She can't wait to meet you. <3

**Adoptable in the greater Austin, Texas, area only.**
