RIVER

MEET RIVER ~ This Happy guy was so excited to see us when we arrived at a very remote River beach area to pick him up. County code enforcement called us, stating they were off grid working and this guy was scrounging for food. We picked him up and reported him to local AC. They agreed the location where River was found is a known dumping ground for animals. River is young, about a year old. He was so thin and a little timid. He’s been in the rescue program a couple months, he’s put on weight, learned to walk on a leash like a good boy and is working on fetching. He loves kisses and hugs. We can’t say if he’s good with kids because we haven’t had any around him since he’s been in foster care. River doesn’t react when watching them on scooters and bikes, we believe he will be good, but no child testers have been around to make it official. Same with cats, we’ve tried to find kitties on our walks, but we have not seen any on our field trips. (Will update if we get intel on either cats or kids) River likes to play with other dogs, he’s good with dogs his own size, but can be a little bit of a Bam Bam without knowing it, so smaller dogs are not ideal. He’s a good listener, he trains quickly and easily, he’s working on social awkwardness and improving daily. <br/>River is a beautiful and sweet boy.
