River

Meet River!<br/><br/>River came to AWS from animal control. He was surrendered to them along with his 4 siblings. We pulled him in the hopes of finding him a forever home.<br/><br/>He is currently about 6 months old & weighs about 15-20 pounds. He is believed to be a hound mix of sorts so we are thinking that he may on the medium to large side.<br/><br/>He is very sweet, but needs some work on socialization and basic obedience. Our understanding is they lived in the woods and were left to their own devices prior to going to animal control. He can be a little scared and unsure, but we don't blame him! Once he warms up, he is extremely affectionate.<br/><br/>It is unknown how he is with cats, other dogs, or kids. Meet and greet are required. We can formally test him with cats as well. <br/><br/>He is a puppy with all that implies, and will need work on training to include: leash walking, basic obedience, crate training, potty training, etc. A family that is committed to setting him up for success & putting in the time that he needs will be a must for him.<br/><br/>He is neutered & microchipped. He will be fully vaccinated prior to adoption.
