Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I'd love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. <br/>- I bounce and wobble when I see my favorite people!<br/>- I love my doggie friends here at Wayside!<br/>- I have medical needs. Our team would be happy to tell you more.<br/>- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Scroll through my photos to watch it. <br/><br/>Hiya, I’m River!<br/><br/>I’m a 1-year-old girl with a heart full of love, a whole lot of bounce, and a serious case of the zoomies! I’m currently enrolled in Confidence College, where I’m learning to be brave, trust myself, and take on new experiences with a wagging tail.<br/><br/>My friends say they love literally everything about me, from my big, happy hugs to my bouncy, wobbly zoomies, and especially how excited I get when I see my favorite people. I wear my heart on my sleeve and show my love with full-body wiggles and tail wags that don’t quit!<br/><br/>My favorite things to do? I LOVE going on walks, hanging out with my dog friends, and being wherever you are. I find comfort in being close to my people. They are my safe place, and once I bond with you, I’ll be your loyal little shadow.<br/><br/>Before heading to my forever home, I’ll need to meet any other dogs and all the people in the family, just so everyone feels comfortable. I’d prefer a home with a fenced yard where I can safely run, explore, and be my silly self. And if there are kiddos, they should be 6 or older, just so they understand that I might need a little time to settle in.<br/><br/>I’m still learning and growing, but with love, patience, and a solid routine, I know I’ll blossom into the confident, joyful pup I’m meant to be.
