However, he is equally a fan of "spa time." Once his energy is spent, he seeks out deep affection, thriving on long sessions of cuddles and body rubs and napping to help him loosen up after a day of activity. He is crate trained, finding comfort with a frozen Kong or a long-lasting bone. When it’s time to travel, he is a good passenger, often napping until he reaches his destination.<br/><br/>River would do best in a quiet home without other animals, however, is trained with encountering animals while out and about. He would do best with older children. He loves playing outside and would love a fenced in yard, but it is not a deal breaker with the right home. He has been professionally trained which means he will arrive to you with a solid foundation of skills (sit, down/stay, here, place, and heel) and a high level of engagement.<br/><br/>River is still a young dog with a "puppy" spirit, and he requires a leader who will be patient and consistent. He is doing well with his house training when given frequent opportunities to go outside.
