Riven's Story

Meet **Riven**, a stunning brindle-and-black youngster who's just about a year old and learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a real family. 🐾

Riven came from our local animal control, where the loud environment was overwhelming for a dog who had clearly never lived indoors before. Despite that, the staff poured time and care into him, and he made huge progress -- but the noise and constant activity kept him from truly coming out of his shell.

Here, we've learned one big thing about Riven: **he absolutely lights up around other dogs.** They give him confidence, show him how to be brave, and help him understand that humans can be trusted. For that reason, he **must** go to a home with another dog who can continue guiding him.

Riven is incredibly sweet, gentle, and very treat-motivated -- the perfect combo for training. What he needs now is a patient adopter, a calm home, and a **secure yard** where he can explore and practice being a "normal dog" at his own pace. Most of all, he needs someone who will give him the chance to finally learn that life inside with people is comfortable, safe, and actually pretty awesome.

If you have a confident dog and a heart for helping shy pups blossom, Riven is waiting for you. He's ready for his next chapter -- he just needs someone willing to open the door. 🐶✨
