Ripley's Story

I'm Ripley. Most of the time I'm pretty calm considering I am only a year and a half, but I still enjoy playing. I love chew toys and playing chase. I try to play with my foster sisters but they are about 50 pounds smaller than me and cranky about it. I occasionally chewed on shoes when my foster mom first brought me home, but I haven't done that in months.

I'm a big cuddle bug and enjoy stretching out on the sofa or in one of my round dogs beds for nap times. I'm hesitant with new people and animals but with patience I warm up quickly. I'm extremely curious about everything. I'm great with toddlers and would do well in a home with young kids. I like other dogs but small dogs and older dogs don't seem to like me much.

I had no training at all the first 8 months of my life, but my foster mom and I have been working hard on the basics. I recently completed a 3 week obedience training and I passed with flying colors! I'm highly food oriented, but I've mastered sitting and waiting for my meals and I am very gentle when given treats.

Ripley is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
