PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION

RIP IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA.

Rip was rescued from the euthanasia list at a small rural pound in Oklahoma where resources were extremely limited. Thankfully he was able to make his way into rescue and is now getting the chance to find a patient, loving home.

Rip is an approximately 1-year-old Heeler/Chihuahua mix who is a shy and cautious boy while he gets comfortable in new situations. Once he has time to settle in, he enjoys the quiet company of his people and other dogs. Rip is potty trained and crate trained and does well in a calm environment where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. He enjoys being around other dogs and tends to feel more secure with canine companionship. He is currently
working on his leash skills and continues improving with gentle encouragement.

Rip is heartworm positive, which is common among strays in the South. The good news is that he is completing treatment and is on his way to being heartworm negative soon. If you have any questions about his health, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email.

Rip is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

If you’re interested in giving Rip his forever home, please complete our adoption application linked below.
