Rio's Story

Rio is a 2-year-old petite Lab mix with the sweetest, most gentle soul. This handsome boy recently found himself on the euthanasia list through no fault of his own, and now he's hoping for a second chance.

Rio can be a little shy when meeting new people and experiencing new environments, but once he realizes he's safe, his sweet nature shines through. His wagging tail and love of treats show just how much he wants to connect. He is very food motivated and eager to build trust with those around him.

Rio enjoys quiet time away from the chaos and noise of the shelter. He takes life at his own pace and likes to stop and take in his surroundings. He is still gaining confidence on leash and may need some patience and encouragement as he learns, but he has all the makings of a wonderful companion.

Cute as can be and full of potential, Rio is looking for someone who will give him the time, love, and reassurance he deserves. With a little TLC and a safe place to land, this special boy is ready to blossom into the loyal best friend he's meant to be.

LOLA'S Rescue (Labs and Other Large Angels)'s Adoption Policy
Adopting an animal through L.O.L.A.'S Rescue means saving a life. We are concentrated on adopting animals at risk of euthanasia from High Kill Shelters and over population situations. We are dedicated to matching the right pet with the right home. The added advantage to being a foster concentrated organization is that we get to spend extra time with our animals to learn their special needs, we will always be 100% honest with you about the animal you are thinking of adopting, we will always try and match you with the pet that best fits your needs. Please understand that even though we do our best to asses every animal, changing situations can mean changing behaviors. The first step to adopting a animal is to let us know more about you and what you are looking for. Please visit our website at www.lolasrescue.com or email us at
