Rio's Story

Rio is a three year-old female Weimaraner who was surrendered to a rural animal shelter together with her brother Buddy, reportedly due to a divorce. Buddy was adopted into a loving family and now Rio awaits the forever family of her dreams.

While we do not know Rio’s history, she seems to be a typical Weimaraner who loves to cuddle beside her human foster family members and has lots of energy. She plays with the other dogs in her foster home and seems to do best when another dog and a human are with her. She is house-trained and is adjusting quickly in foster care.

While we observe that Rio is good with other dogs, we do not know how she is around cats. Rio is up-to-date on all vaccines, spayed, and will undoubtedly be a wonderful addition to an active family, preferably with Weimaraner experience.

If you are interested in learning more about Rio, please email us at: contact@weimaranerrescue.org.
We enjoy providing more information before asking interested parties to submit a formal application. Your time and consideration are valuable to us; thank you for considering the adoption of any lucky animal available through rescue!
