Ringo's Story

Since meeting his rescuer (just in the nick of time), Ringo has been on a life-changing journey. He was grossly obese and struggling with arthritis discomfort.
Now, he is healthier, thriving and ready to meet his new forever family.
That's where YOU come in!

To help him keep him at a healthy weight *and* support his joint health, he is eating Hill's Metabolic & Mobility Diet. He is also on a common non-steroidal anti-inflammatory for dogs which has improved his comfort level greatly. This medication is very reasonably priced. In addition to his weight loss, he has had other therapeutic treatments to aid in his joint health. His current advocate, Kailey, has created a mobility care plan for him to help strengthen his leg and hip muscles and he has done so well since she stepped in to save his life.

Ringo is a very loyal guy and has elected himself as the house "hall monitor" to police the activity in the home...and he's *not* apposed to snitching to mom or dad on those darn rule-breakers. Ringo would do best with another medium or large sized dog who is playful and energetic. Ringo also gets along with dogs that are calm and mind their own business. He would be an amazing dog for a family with kids and would love to play ball with him at home. It’s just important to keep Ringo’s activity at a moderate level to prevent pain flare ups. Ringo is house trained and does well with just being a house dog. This big dog has some anxiety when it comes to cats, so a home without any cats or small animals would be best.

He is also crate-trained and has the basic training skills down....and he can absolutely learn more!

This smart, beautiful boy is doing incredibly well in his foster home, which gives insight to how he will be in YOUR home.
We hope your family wants to meet him.

Ringo is located in San Luis Obispo County, California and his foster mom Kailey can be reached via email or phone... yim.kailey@gmail.com or 310-991-1588.
