Ringo 3's Story

Age: 2y

Breed: Shepherd mix

Weight: 40

Personality: Ringo is a shy boy who is extremely sweet and needs time to feel comfortable in new environments. Once he starts to feel comfortable, he is very sweet with his human friends and loves to get pets and does a silly little happy dance to greet his humans. He's currently low energy and is happy with some yard time, pets, and hanging in his crate with some chews or a Kong. He does not have any separation anxiety and would be fine with someone who works outside the home.

Friendliness: Dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Kids: Tweens 9-17

Education: Bathroom and crate trained. He is still too timid to walk on the leash, but he is getting braver with time.

Favorite Activities: Ringo loves hanging around his dog friends and getting lots of pets from his humans. He also loves chewing and getting meat treats and enjoys hanging in his crate with a chew or soft toy.

Looking For: Ringo is still timid and not going on walks, so he needs a fenced yard for bathroom trips; it doesn't need to be very big! He would do best in a quieter home with people who will be patient while he gains confidence. He takes cues from other dogs and would do best with a dog friend (or 5!) to help him dog. He does just fine solo during the day and is happy to nap while his humans are out of the house, so he will be fine with someone who works outside the home. He'd do fine with older kids that give him space and aren't too noisy.

Social Media: Instagram at @Barley.arley

Special Needs: None

My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/. You can also find me on Instagram at @Barley.arley.

The Animal Pad's Adoption Policy
We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane. Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational. All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times. All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise. Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000. Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc. Adoption Application: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
