Riley's Story
Did someone say fetch???? This 10-month old stunner certainly hopes so! It is one of Riley's favorite things to do. He loves to fetch anything, tennis balls - toys - snacks, you name it and he will fetch it. He has mastered many other tricks as well. Among his repertoire are sit, shake, down, wait, drop it, leave it and come. He is working on circle and he also will "get it" when you have him sit, place a tennis ball on his nose and then tell him to get it. We are working on doing the same with a treat but he hasn't quite mastered that one. As you can see he is more than happy to hop in the tub and take a bath and he will also hop in the car and go for a ride. He does enjoy playing with other dogs and has a great time. He was recently neutered and sometimes forgets that humping is not the way most of his friends like to play and he has to be reminded. He is extremely friendly and likes everyone he meets, unless you are a squirrel, a rabbit or a cat and then he thinks the chase is on. He lived with a cat in his previous home so it is not a prey thing he just wants to bark and play but is too big and rambunctious to do so safely. He is currently right at 50 pounds and is very motivated by food. You can use his kibble for training treats and he is completely happy. He also likes biscuits and chew sticks and has some favorite Kong and Nylabone toys. He is both housebroken and crate trained. He walks well on a leash, but will pull when he sees something interesting and this is probably his largest area for improvement.
