Riker's Story

Riker was brought to the vet as part of a cruelty case on November 9, 2013. He weighed a shocking 12 lbs and he was 8 months old and he was infested with fleas. Riker is recovering nicely and is gaining much needed weight. On 11/15 he weighed 18 lbs.

Riker is now a healthy, well-adjusted boy. He has very good manners, plays well with others (likes to play rough with other rough-housers), and is generally polite around cats. Without another dog leading the barking symphony he is very quiet, is crate-trained, housebroken, and knows boundaries and basic commands. He is perfect with people taking his toys and touching his food while eating (no possessive or territorial aggression whatsoever). Last and most importantly, he looooooooves meeting new people! He doesn't know a stranger. He would probably prefer to live with another dog his size or larger that he can play his games with. He likes to backpack for exercise, but will dig holes in a yard if left too long unattended.

More Pictures of Riker: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.606660672725436.1073741934.162554320469409&type=1&l=28bf55418b

Our adoption fee is $195 – All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.

http://www.friendstotheforlorn.com/577/profile/riker.htm
