Rico's Story

Meet Rico 🐾🚨

Rico is one of the 17 dogs we rescued from a devastating foreclosure case—the largest rescue case in our organization’s history.

Here is the accurate picture of what happened:
There were 35 dogs total at the property. Some were given away before any rescue could intervene. By the time we were able to step in, 24 dogs were still left. Our rescue took in 17 of them, while the remaining dogs were taken by two other rescues. Among those dogs, 5 were pregnant, requiring immediate and extensive medical care.

Rico is 2 years old and has endured more instability than most dogs experience in a lifetime. He is very affectionate, but understandably needs time to trust as she came from a hard, neglectful situation. Once she feels safe, she forms deep, loyal bonds and truly blossoms. 💛

✨ About Rico
• 2 years old
• Sweet, affectionate, and gentle
• Takes time to trust, then loves deeply
• Fully vaccinated and up to date on all care
• Healthy and ready for her forever home

We are a very small rescue with no funding, no grants, and no government support. This case pushed us to our absolute limits. Every single expense was paid out of pocket—medical care, emergency intake, food, housing, and ongoing care for all 17 dogs we saved.

Rico’s adoption fee reflects the real costs of this rescue and helps us offset the overwhelming expenses from this case so we can continue saving lives.

Rico deserves a patient, committed home that understands her past and believes in her future. If you know that the dogs who’ve been through the most often give the most love, Rico may be your boy . 🐶❤️

If you’re interested, please fill out the adoption application and give us a call. Serious adopters only— Rico deserves stability, safety, and a forever home.
