Rico's Story

I’m a 2 yr old boy with liquid brown eyes that will melt your heart. I am ready to give you all my 60 lbs of love and devotion. In my current foster home, I have a doggie sister who is about my size and three larger, labbie brothers. We love to play tug and run in the big yard. I should mention that my other name is Rocket and I love to show off my speed in races with the other younger dogs. In my new home I really want to have a playful doggie friend.

If you throw a ball, I will definitely chase it. Whether it comes back? Well… depends on how I feel. I like to keep the humans on their toes. I need a family with a secure, fenced yard where I can play. At night I sleep soundly in my crate with my trusty pink bunny. Just say “Crate!” and I’m in—no questions, no negotiations. During the day I hang out in the house unless my people are gone a long time. I’ve got pretty good manners.

I’m a little nervous with loud noises or sudden movements. A nice vet came and gave me something called generic Paxil to help with that. It’s inexpensive and easy to keep up—just a little boost to help me feel safe.

A quiet home with older children will be best for me. My new family will need to be patient with me. LOLIN will provide support with my vet behaviorist friend. My foster family says I have become much more confident in the time I have lived with them. They love me and are eager for me to find a furever family where I can blossom even more. If you give me a chance, I will be your best friend.

MUST HAVE TO BE A SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION:
Physical fence
Playful dog in the home

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
