Rico's Story
Meet Fredrico James III, aka Rico! Rico is a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to the shelter when his family's work required out of state travel. Rico sounds like he is a wonderful boy. He does well at the vet and lets you know when he needs to go outside if you watch for his signs (pacing). He is crate trained but does bark when he is left alone for long periods. Rico is said not to enjoy baths, and he does destroy plush toys, but he loves hard toys and bones. He likes men, women, and children, but with his size he can knock small children over. His family said he would "follow" cats, and he got along with "most" dogs when introduced slowly. However, he was taken on a trial and returned because he didn't like the other dogs. You will need to be patient if you have another dog. He is becoming quite depressed at the shelter. Rico is ready for a loving family and will be a great companion. If you would like to meet him, please email the shelter at cchs04@sbcglobal.net and request an application!
