RICKY's Story

Due to the fact that Ricky was a stray and picked up in the shelter here in Gainesville, we have no background on this sweetie. We believe he is about 7 years old. Ricky is neutered, micro chipped, and updated on all his shots. Ricky is a gentle giant. He knows sit, paw and listens well. He loves walks and is good on a leash. He does well in the car and is good with others dogs. We have many feral cats wandering at the Ranch and he seems OK with them.. Ricky is VERY vocal in letting you know he wants attention which he absolutely LOVES getting. He does have a slight case of separation anxiety. Probably due to his lost home. He will make a great companion and watchdog.

ColliesFlorida Rescue's Adoption Policy
It is the policy of CFR to adopt the RIGHT collie to the RIGHT family. We all want each collie too become part of a loving forever home.    For that reason we weigh each application against the needs of the collie. Though we try to find you the type, color, gender, temperament or age that you want, we take many factors into consideration. and of course, we will always rely on the collie to make the final choice.  Therefore it is important for you to have a meet and greet ( with any other animals you may have… if possible) before a possible placement. Please note where they are located, as we foster all over the state, and make sure you will be able to visit.
