Rickie's Story

Ricky is a gentle sweetheart with a heart of gold. He might be a bit shy at first, but once he starts to trust you, each small step of progress feels incredibly special. While he may act shy, he secretly loves head and belly scratches. But mostly loves watching you wake up every morning.

He's calm, loving, and enjoys quiet moments just as much as a little playtime. He's only ever barked twice in foster care, proving what a peaceful companion he is. Ricky does the cutest gallop to his bowl at meal time. Because he's missing a few teeth, Ricky does best on a soft diet. Ricky gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having a four-legged friend.

Rickie's had a hard life. It's been no fault of his own, but he landed in two different shelters and was finally adopted. Then, the adopter had some challenges and was unable to care for him properly. He became shy and withdrawn.

Fortunately, his future is bright! He has blossomed under the care of his foster family. He gets along well with other dogs and is just learning to relax and play with toys.

At 10 years young, Rickie is ready to live his Golden years with a family that will continue embracing his past and provide the loving secure home he always deserved.

Rickie's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, microchip and all current vaccinations.
To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-1540
To follow Rickie on his journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/
