Rick's Story
Meet Rick — The Shelter Survivor with a Heart of Gold!

Rick may have had a rough start, but you’d never know it from his happy-go-lucky spirit. This lovable goofball came into the shelter as a 7-month-old puppy and spent 8 long months there—far too long for any pup to grow up without a home. But Rick never let it dull his shine. He greeted every day with a wagging tail, a big smile, and a love for playtime and meeting new friends.

Now about 1.5 years old and a solid 60 pounds of joy, Rick is finally out of the shelter thanks to a foster—and he’s thriving. He’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely adores attention. Snuggles, belly rubs, and couch time are high on his list of favorite things (right after playtime with other pups!).

Rick is still adjusting to home life and learning that he’s not a little puppy anymore—but his eagerness to please and joyful personality make him a fast learner. He gets along great with other dogs, especially those who are down for some fun play sessions. He’s a big ol’ mush who just wants to be loved and included.

Rick is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on prevention. He’s ready for the forever family he’s waited so patiently for.

? Want to be Rick’s happy ending?
Apply to adopt at: BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org/adopt
