He is not a dog who demands attention. He simply leans in, looks up, and waits for you to realize he was exactly what you were looking for.<br/><br/>Watch him outside and you will see him at his happiest. Nose in the grass, ears up, tail going, taking treats from your hand so gently you barely feel it. He is an easygoing companion who wants to be near his people and out in the fresh air, ideally at the same time.<br/><br/>Richmond does have one requirement: a home with a physically fenced yard. Give him that safe space to stretch his legs and patrol, and he will give you everything else.<br/><br/>We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 10am to 3pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
