Richard's Story

Meet Richard!
Richard is an approximately 2.5 year old German Shepherd weighing about 75 pounds. He's an intelligent, energetic boy with a playful personality and an endearing one-ear-up, one-ear-down look that reflects his goofy side.

Richard is very smart and treat motivated, and he enjoys learning new things. He thrives with regular mental and physical activity and loves toys, playing ball, and enjoying structured water play like kiddie pool time and bucket baths.

Richard will do best in an experienced, adult-only home with a large, secure yard/fenced. Consistent handling, clear expectations, and continued training will help him succeed. True to his breed, he has some past history of mouthiness and leash grabbing, which tends to show up when he's over-stimulated, and will benefit from guidance and appropriate outlets for his energy.

Richard also has a strong aversion to hoses and should not be around when a hose is turned on. This trigger will need to be managed in his daily routine.
With the right structure, enrichment, and understanding of the breed, Richard has the potential to be a loyal, fun-loving companion who enjoys staying active and engaged with his person.

Richard is UTD on vaccines & neutered. He is also house broken & ready to go home!

If you are interested in adopting Richard, Please call or txt Shannon at 919-442-7720.

*Transportation available upon approved app.
