Reyna's Story

Reyna is a beautiful, playful, hesitant - yet extremely sweet, loving and incredibly loyal, three-year-old, 65-pound, fawn and white, female, pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. Reyna is well trained but needs a pit bull lover who is a strong yet gentle leader. She is perfectly housebroken, crate-trained, non-destructive in the home, never goes on furniture, and knows the commands sit, stay, lay down, back up, and takes treats very gently from your fingers. She is good on leash for runs and walks. She is currently living with a six-year-old male black lab, and a two-year-old child who can actually give her commands. She is very playful and loves to run, and play ball. Because she was abused by her first family, she is fearful at first with new people. She warms up quickly when she realizes people can be trusted. Reyna has been living with a family for the past year, but the landlord said she’s got to be out by Friday, July 22nd. She comes complete with her collar, leash, crate and a big bag of food – everything you need to care for her! Reyna is looking for a home without cats, or other small animals. She does okay with dogs her size after proper introduction. Reyna is healthy, spayed, de-wormed, and up-to-date on rabies, distemper, bordatella and leptospirosis vaccinations, heartworm-tested and on preventative. If you'd like to meet and possibly adopt/foster or take Reyna into your rescue group, please contact her foster mom Robin at robin.cervantes@gmail.com or 708-828-3904. Her adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets.
