Reya's Story

Posted on 7/21/21, and pictures were taken on 6/26/21. Reya was a stray surrender from Hawkins, TX on 6/1/21. She was good around all of our yard dogs for about 1.5 days. She is dog selective, and unpredictable around both male and female dogs, but I have her in a dog pen with a male and a female that she gets along with, so I'm not sure what triggers her with certain dogs. She loves people, has a lot of energy, still jumps on me for attention, and is crate trained. She is very strong, and pulls on a leash, so would do better with a harness. Due to her energy level, she would not be good around smaller children. She would do best as the only dog, or with another dog she is compatible with, and will need a secure fenced yard to make sure she doesn't wander. She doesn't like medicine given to her orally, but it can be put in can food when needed. She is heartworm positive, and I have started her on a slow kill treatment with prevention. She should be negative in a few month. I'm not sure what breed she is without doing a DNA test, so I'm just listing her as a Terrier mix, since that covers a large number of breeds.

D.O.B.: ?
