Rex's Story
? Meet Rex — A Work in Progress with a Heart of Gold!

Rex is a one-year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix with soulful eyes, a goofy personality, and a growing sense of confidence. While his siblings have all found their forever homes, Rex has been patiently waiting for his turn — and he’s finally beginning to shine in his foster home! ?

This playful boy loves to chase golf balls, toss around his toys, and chew on bones. He also enjoys zooming around the yard and chasing squirrels (and yes — cars too, so a fenced-in yard is a must for his safety!). Rex has plenty of energy, so he’d do best in an active home or with someone who enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures.
Since going into foster care, Rex has made huge strides in his socialization. His foster has been taking him on outings to stores, wineries, and dog parks to help him gain confidence, and he’s doing so much better than when he first arrived! He’s still a work in progress, but his heart is big, and he’s learning every day.

Rex does well with other dogs and would love a playful companion, but he probably shouldn’t live with cats. He’s still shy around new people at first but warms up once he knows he can trust you — and once he does, you’ll have a loyal, fun-loving friend for life.
He’s neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Rex has come a long way from the timid puppy who once hid in the back of his kennel. Now, he’s learning that life can be full of joy, toys, and adventure — all he needs now is a family to share it with. ???

Apply for Rex here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPAW/Dog
