REX'S STORY <br/><br/>Rex is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for a home that will provide him with structure, consistency, and continued training.<br/><br/>On October 23, 2023, Rex was found abandoned near the corner of Fowler and Floral Avenues in Fowler, California. He was going up to everyone he saw, clearly searching for help. We were actually on our way home to get a trap for another lost dog, but there was no way we could leave him behind.<br/><br/>Since coming into rescue, Rex has shown himself to be an active, intelligent dog who enjoys exercise and being outdoors. He doesn't mind spending time outside and loves having room to move around and explore.<br/><br/>Rex does need some continued training. When exercise time is over, he sometimes decides he'd rather keep playing than return to his kennel. Like many shepherd mixes, he is smart, independent, and enjoys testing boundaries.<br/><br/>We are currently working on socialization and helping him develop positive interactions with other dogs. He continues to make progress with structure, routine, and guidance.<br/><br/>Rex would thrive with an adopter who understands working breeds and can provide regular exercise, leadership, and mental stimulation. He is a happy, energetic dog with a lot of potential and is looking for someone willing to help him become the best version of himself.<br/><br/>Could Rex be the companion you've been looking for?
