Rex's Story
Rex IS AVAILABLE (updated 12-11-2025). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/rex Meet Rex! Rex came to us after his owner’s life circumstances changed and she was not able to care for him. At 5 years old, Rex had been well loved but they were unable to get him the care he badly needed. Coastal was able to take Rex under our wing and get him seen by our wonderful vet partners and fostered short term. When he arrived at the vet appointment, we weren't sure the extent of his condition- he had bleeding scabs all over his body, was urinating blood and had horrible diarrhea. With simple medications, he was feeling better in a very short time. It seems he had untreated infections that had gone on for a very long time. Rex is now feeling great and looking for a forever home of his own! Rex has a wonderful temperament and is a pretty easy going guy! He adores children and keeps a watchful eye over them. If Rex sounds like a match for your family, please let us know! The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
