I am REO. I am almost 1 year old. I am a lab heeler mix looking for my forever home.<br/><br/><br/><br/>My Personality:<br/>I am a gentle and sensitive soul. New things make me nervous, but I am very sweet once I feel<br/> safe. Sitting on the couch I enjoy being very near you. Winter is coming and you will not be cold as I will curl up into you all night long.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>My Ideal Home:<br/>I need a calm and patient family. A home without a lot of loud noises or fast movements is best<br/> for me. Because of my past, I am a little unsure when meeting someone new. I will need a person who understands that trust sometimes takes time and is willing to let me warm up at my own pace. A must is another dog that loves to play and wrestle and can<br/> help me build my confidence. I really enjoy playing with my foster sister and other dogs that come to visit. Of course this is also with slow intros as I need to check things out and feel comfortable around them. <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>My Progress:<br/>I am learning to trust humans every day. Little things, like soft voices and yummy treats, help<br/> me feel brave. Please be patient with me, it could take me awhile to feel safe and comfortable. My foster mom takes me to work once in awhile and I get to meet new people all day which is helping me, but we are taking it slow and in small doses.<br/><br/><br/>If<br/> you have a quiet lap and a big heart, I would love to meet you!<br/><br/>From<br/> the foster:<br/><br/>Reo<br/> is such a sweet handsome cute guy. After he settled in with me his personality started to show but it took him time to let me see who he is. He is still learning and figuring things out. He LOVES playing with my husky, you can imagine the chaos a husky<br/> and one year old lab/heeler mix can create! A fenced in yard is a must with these two. I would highly recommend a fenced in yard since Reo is scared of many things and could be prone to running away when scared. After chasing each other he is content to<br/> lay down and relax .... for 10 minutes and then ready to go again! <br/><br/>Being<br/> a young dog with a rough beginning there are things that come with being a puppy. Accidents will happen, things will get chewed up, disobedience will occur. Time and patience and training will help him become an amazing family member. Honestly, he could<br/> be one of those dogs that could be a foster failure (foster keeps him) as he is just that dog that brings you joy and love.<br/><br/><br/>Male Lab mix<br/>He's shy but gentle<br/>Good with other dogs<br/>Quiet<br/>Lived as an outside dog so may need a little help with house training<br/>Good with young children<br/>Adoption fee $295____Please Note: We ask that an application be filled out before coming to the shelter.
