REMY's Story

This little boy came to SPOT after he broke a back leg and his owner couldn't care for him. He received a lot of one-on-one attention and tlc as an only dog in his foster home. However, he was accustom to running the neighborhood on a local reservation and the restrictions of healing confinement were challenging for him when he started feeling better. Once his cast was off, we thought he needed a little remediation after his free roaming start to life!

It was obvious early on that this was a clever little dog and we knew some additional training would make him more successful in a new home. Remy's trainer has been impressed with how responsive he is and thinks he will do well in a family with an active lifestyle that would enjoy including a personable little dog in their adventures.

Remy likes people and would love a doggie pal. It may take him a minute to be sure about a new K-9 friend, but then it's 'game-on'. He'd be a good candidate for dog sports, advanced training, hiking, travelling, or romping in the yard playing doggy games with his people.

We're looking for a family who would enjoy and, have time for, ways to keep him mentally challenged. In return, he'd be happy to help his people stay physically fit! This adorable, sweet little dog is going to be a treasured pet.

Stats: Papillion mix ...?, 1 year old, 11 lbs, neutered male, treated for parasites, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee: $400.00

If interested in learning more about REMY, please submit an adoption application from our website, www.savingpetsoneatatime.org.
Pets are shown by appointment if the application matches our home profile.

Thank you for considering a rescued dog!
