Remy's Story

Bio from Remy’s previous owner:

Seeking rescue, foster or permanent home.

Meet Remy:

Remy is a very energetic, healthy and loyal boy ready to meet his new best friend(s). He is said to be a heeler/corgi mix. He recently turned 8 years old in January.

While he is an indoor dog, he prefers running outside. He is happiest if he has a “job” like fetching a ball, frisbee or engaged with his adult in an activity. He is an eager, smart learner and would probably do well with some agility training. He might also be happy on a farm with a purpose.

He enjoys following his person around the house wherever they may go. He does not want to miss any action! He has always been the only animal in the house. He has played with other dogs and just loves to run with them. He is not familiar with small children so a family with small children may not be the most suitable home. Loud noises can be a source of fear so a calm environment would be most suitable.

He does not have much experience on a leash and his recall needs much improvement. He will sometimes come when called unless he is found something that has grabbed his attention.

He has never been crated as there is no need. He is potty trained and well behaved in the house.

He rides well in the car however at first gets a little anxious but eventually calms down and enjoys the ride. He will bathe with ease but does get muzzled when seeing the vet for a checkup and nail trim.

He is ready for some adventure, has perpetual energy and will bring you years of happiness.

Adoption donation fee is $200 to help offset care and medical.
