Remmy's Story
Meet Remmy

Remmy is a 9-month-old Border Collie mix with a heart of gold. He currently weighs around 40 pounds, but he’s expected to grow closer to 50 as he matures. Remmy’s story began when his previous owners had to surrender him due to hard times, and now he’s looking for a loving, forever family.

At first, Remmy can be a bit shy around new people — but once he warms up, he’s as loyal and loving as a dog could be. He thrives on companionship and will stick by your side once he knows he’s safe. He’s been around other dogs and is reportedly good with them — though a proper meet-and-greet is required before adoption to make sure everyone clicks.

Remmy spent most of his early life in a backyard. Since arriving at the shelter, he’s been learning new things: now he knows that leashes mean fun walks and outdoor adventures, and he’s getting better at leash manners all the time. Car rides are new to him, but we believe with positive experiences he’ll eventually enjoy them, too.

True to his Border Collie mix heritage, Remmy LOVES to play — fetch and tug-of-war are two of his favorite activities. Because of his energy and intelligence, he’ll do best with a family that has time and willingness to give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He’ll thrive with someone who treats him like part of the family and makes him a regular playmate.

Remmy would flourish in a home with a young, active family — ideally one ready to meet his need for exercise, play, and ongoing training. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped — all set for his happily ever after.

If you’re ready for a loyal, playful, and loving companion who’ll grow into the best pup he can be, Remmy might just be your perfect match.
