Remarkable Rudy's Story
Hi, my name is Rudy.

I’m a 1-year-old Mini Aussie, and I’ve been told I’m a little different. My coat isn’t the kind people usually stop and point at, and sometimes I feel like I get passed over because of it. I don’t really understand why—because underneath my fur, I’m just a sweet, hopeful boy who wants what every dog wants: to belong.

I’m gentle and soft-hearted, and I like to take my time getting to know new people. Once I trust you, though, my whole world opens up. I love playing ball, walking nicely on a leash, and just being near someone calm and kind. Loud noises and fast movements can make me nervous, so I do best in a peaceful home where things move a little slower and introductions are thoughtful.

Because I’m still learning about the big wide world, I need someone who understands that I’m a work in progress. I’m a bit of a flight risk, so a securely fenced yard and a solid safety plan are important for me. A predictable routine and, ideally, a friendly dog companion would help me feel safe and confident as I continue to grow.

I may not have the coat color everyone is looking for—but I promise, if you look a little closer, you’ll see a loyal heart, a sensitive soul, and a boy who will love you deeply once he knows he’s finally chosen. I’m ready when you are.
______________
Rudy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, house trained, walks great on a leash, rides great in a car. He LOVES other dogs, is completely respectful of cats and has great house manners.

If you'd like to be considered for this amazing boy, please submit an application at www.pacificanimalsociety.org Or access our application directly here: https://forms.gle/S2gX7nNx3ZNd6Z3C6

Note: These little Aussies are adorable, brilliant, and braver than they should be — but they’re also a work in progress. They grew up together in a quiet kennel environment, so the big wide world is still a lot to process. Loud noises, fast movements, and new people (especially men and kids) can be intimidating. They walk beautifully on leash but need time, patience, and a calm routine to feel secure. A predictable home life and a well-matched canine friend will help them shine. Because they are flight risks, adopters must have a solid plan to prevent escapes and help them safely explore the world at their own pace.
