Hello New Friends!<br/>My name’s Remarkable Remy, and I’m a seven-year-old Havanese boy with a soft gray-and-white coat, a dash of black, and a heart that is loving and ready to share my love. Before I became a FurKid, I spent most of my life in a crate. That was very sad and difficult and not my choice as I’m a very good boy, Now I have space to stretch, play, and explore, I feel like a brand-new pup! My foster mom says I’m really a one-year-old puppy in a seven-year-old body, and she might be right.<br/><br/>When I came into rescue I had itchy skin and ears but my foster mom took wonderful care of me. I eat good food (goodbye allergies!) am all better and feeling fantastic. My new life includes chasing my doggy foster brothers and sisters around the yard—especially when they’re chasing the “chuck-it balls.” I’m not quite sure what to do with the ball itself when I catch it, but I’m an enthusiastic member of the “dogs chasing dogs chasing the ball” team. It’s the best kind of chaos!<br/><br/>When it comes to people, I’m all in. I love everyone I meet—men, women, kids of all sizes and shapes and visitors. If you smile and have a hand that likes to pet, we’ll be instant friends. I’m not quite a snuggler (yet), but I adore attention and will happily soak up affection. And when I’m ready to relax, I often retreat quietly to my crate (Mom calls it my happy place). Don’t worry though. I don’t have any separation anxiety. I’m just comforted by having my own little den as our house can get very noisy with all the dogs that live here.<br/><br/>I’m an active guy who enjoys long walks, play time, and exploring the great outdoors. I walk nicely on a leash (okay, I might pull a bit to say hello to neighbors!), and I’m fully housebroken (and use a doggie door like a champ! I mastered it in no time at all.) I like to ride in the car—shotgun’s my favorite seat, but I’m happy to chill in the back too.<br/><br/>My Ideal Home Must Have:<br/>– A like-sized, energetic doggy friend to keep me company and play with<br/>– A safe yard for exploring and zoomies<br/>– A family who enjoys walks and outdoor adventures<br/><br/>Experience Level:<br/>– Adopters who understand active, fun-loving pups and can help continue light training<br/><br/>After seven years of waiting for my real life to begin, I’m finally free to run, play, and love—and am ready to share that joy with my forever family.
